We are offering the following one-week, marine science focused programs in August. Registration is now open!
August 17th - 21st: Marine Life in the Bay of FUNdy & Beyond
Learn all about marine mammals, sharks, fish, seabirds, plankton, and your tidepool favorites in this one-week program! We will focus primarily on creatures found around Grand Manan, Atlantic Canada, and the eastern seaboard but will branch out to other EXTREME examples of life around the globe.
August 24th - 28th: Ocean Science & Ecosystem Investigations
Thinking about becoming a marine biologist or oceanographer, or simply want to know more about ocean science? Get an introduction to what an ocean scientist does through highlights of marine research around the globe. Over the week, we will examine ocean ecosystems from the tropics to the poles, from the coastal surface to the deep sea, and will also learn some of the methods used to study these systems. Participants will also have the chance to try their hand at designing their own ocean research project!
Courses include 5-6 hours of contact time each week (Monday-Friday mornings from 10:30am - 11:45am ET), independent coursework, access to afternoon activities such as trivia, arts/crafts, yoga, and community time to connect with fellow campers (4-5 pm ET).
If you know someone else who may be interested in our programs, have them contact us to join in on the fun!
Don't see anything that floats your boat?
No problem! We are used to adapting and being flexible. At camp, our plans change often according to the weather, the wind, and the whales. If you have a program in mind that you would like to see offered, please let us know! We can work with you to create a personalized program that suits your individual needs and schedules.
Camp alumni leadership program: We are looking for former/returning campers to help facilitate these courses and mentor course participants. If this interests you, please send us an email with subject line "Camp alumni leadership".
